5 common questions answered
NHTSA recall information identifies risks that should not be ignored. Loose fuel-rail bolts may cause a fuel leak and increase fire risk. A leaking master cylinder can reduce braking ability, while a shift-lever switch issue may allow the vehicle to roll away when the key is removed outside Park. Incorrect tire labels may contribute to overloading, and an engine-block defect may cause seizure and sudden wheel lockup. VIN and certification-label problems also require correction. Waiting can leave a safety concern unresolved, so arrange a free VIN check and promptly address any open manufacturer remedy.
